How events are announced.

A fully scheduled event — confirmed date, venue and programme — appears here only once approved by the responsible academic leads. A small number of items, like the symposium above, may appear earlier as an explicitly labelled programme concept in development, so registrars can see what the society is building; even then, nothing is presented as confirmed until it genuinely is.

Beyond the recurring teaching programme and the symposium concept, WIRS is exploring further event formats — workshops, multidisciplinary sessions and case-based evenings — as capacity and faculty interest allow. Nothing here is scheduled.

Suggest a session or a paper.

Ideas for teaching sessions, journal-club papers and society meetings are welcome from registrars, consultants and students.

Current Wits members can approach the WIRS committee through established departmental channels. Formal society contact details will be published once confirmed.
